Yeah, It's 2012.

Yeah, it's been awhile. You know the routine, "Yadda yadda ... sorry, I may be back ... yadda yadda."

I'm so glad that it's 2012! So many great things are happening this year, but I wanted to recap my fabulous year of 2011 first.

January
-We moved from the horrids of Louisiana to New York
-I got to see my beautiful friend Stacy again after a long 3 years!

February
- The husband and I went to our first military ball since September 2005
- The little one turned 3
- We went to Chicago (where I informed my husband we're moving to after his stint in the Army is over).

March
- I turned 25
-I got double pink-eye, a sinus infection, and a mild case of the flu a few days before my husband left for war. NOT A GOOD MONTH.

April - mid-June - Stayed busy with friends and found a new church home.

Late June - Drove 16 hours from New York to Tennessee, continuously with the kidlet and the dog to spend the summer with my mom and brother.

July
- Spent the month fixing my house up from the mess my renters left it (ripping out carpets, repainting the entire house twice because they smoked, taming the lawn, and tiling the kitchen)
- Flew out to Arizona to see my bestest friend Sarah and surprised her with bringing Kelsey
- Flew to San Diego a few days later to see my aunt and cousins that I haven't seen in 6 years
- Closed on the sell of our first home
- Celebrated my 6th wedding anniversary with my mom by my side

August
- Saw my dad for a few hours
- Drove from Tennessee to Michigan to spend a week with my in-laws
- Headed home from Michigan back to New York (12-hr drive continuously)
- Started back to school at the end of the month.

September - early December
- Somehow managed to juggle 8 classes and earn a 3.93 for the semester
- Found my place in my church that I could be of service
- Grew closer to my New York friends
- Put in my application, was interviewed and accepted into the graduating Nursing class of 2013
- The husband turned 29.
- Survived until December 12th.

December 12th - After 9 VERY LONG months, my husband came home for R&R. Though I just started the process of finals and I was sick, it was the best two weeks of the year :) Of course, the day he left it snowed, a lot, and I had to buck up and get back into the rhythm of doing everything myself.

All-in-all, 2011 was a very productive and busy year. Aside from my husband being gone for 3/4ths of it, it's been a good year. Now, it's 2012 and I start Nursing school TOMORROW, making me incredibly nervous and slightly nauseated with finally being where I want to be in life. I had initially planned to do a little video, but I'll wait until either tomorrow or Monday, when classes are over. <3

I know we've kept in touch on Twitter but I missed your post & I'm glad you decided to do a years recap. Also, I think you did more traveling in 2011 than I've done in my entire life...holy cow! Congrats on being accepted to nursing school, btw :)

Chicago is the bomb - It's one of the few big cities in the US that I'd like to live. Good call!

I wish you all the best with Nursing school. When I was an undergrad I lived in a student house with 5 nursing students. I LOVE NURSES! The stories you guys can tell...

I think last year has been a pretty good one for you! I think this year will be even better with your hubby home!
