MilSpouse Friday Fill-in #37!

Please don't mind the mess. Apparently Photobucket still doesn't have their crap together and since I made most my stuff for my blog on another computer that no longer works, I cannot reupload my images until Photobucket gets their crap together. As you might be able to tell, I'm annoyed about it. So, please don't mind the chaos that my blog currently resembles.

ANYHOO - It's Friday and time for another MilSpouse Friday Fill-in!

link up at Wife of a Sailor

1. With PCS moves happening every few years, do you take the time to paint and decorate your home? submitted by Life as Mrs. JPT
--The first two places we lived in, I did not. The third place, we bought and I actually put time into painting it and hanging things on the wall, but I would not have called it overly decorated. The fourth place we lived in was in Louisiana, I hated it because we went from living in a house to back to apartment living. I had pictures and a few homey things on the wall, but I had no desire to really put much into that space. Now that we're in New York and I LOVE my house, I'm definitely going to be putting time and effort into decorating this place. I have certain decorating ideas in my mind, like paint colors that they will hopefully like and tell me I do not have to repaint over, things to put on the walls, etc. I have yet to really hang anything up in this house nor buy anything yet because I have plans to sell my other house and want to pinch every penny that may be required for repairs and renovations.

2. If you could live in any home on a television series, what would it be? submitted by Standing By Him
I loved the house on 7th Heaven.

3. What inspired you to start your blog? submitted by Pink Combat Boots
I had a few friends that were blogging and after reading their's for a couple of months, I decided to make my own.

4. What is the weirdest thing you've ever seen on base? submitted by Adventures in Life
I'm not sure many people will find this 'weird' but it's something I don't understand. And maybe this answer will make me sound like a prude, but why is when the weather starts to get warmer, you get women walking around in shorts that basically their butts are falling out of or tops that do not cover much of anything? I get that the weather is warm and it allows us to wear shorts and the what nots, but what the deal with going ... for lack of a better word ... slutty? I don't get it. You can cover up and still get people to notice you, if that's what you're going after - the attention. It grosses me out and I may or may not make faces that I don't try to hide. And I know this isn't strictly related to women on base, but in general, in public during the warmer months.

5. Which historical figure (politician, writer, artist, scientist, actor, etc...) would you like to have dinner with? submitted by Army of Two
No one is coming to mind, really. While I find some people fascinating, I don't think I'd ever want to just sit down and have dinner with them. That would be ... awkward. And while I live for awkward situations, it doesn't sound compelling enough for me.

You're the second person I've seen that said the Seventh Heaven house! Good answer... I completely forgot about it when I was answering.

Too funny! I put the 7th Heaven house, too!

Totally agree with you that the dinner would be awkward. Especially when my kids spill their milk on a poet laureate. :-)

Sweets... (1) don't try to fight this decorating urge thing...it's genetic. (2) It is perfectly normal to be grossed out over blatant diplays of unwanted flesh. You were raised by a prude...
again, unfortunately genetic. (3) You, my dear, could so totally pull off chowing down with anyone thinking they are famous or important. You have style and grace and that is definitely genetic.....
