I'm Overdue.

Sort of like my library books that I keep meaning to return. You think they'll notice my son's handiwork in that? Jen, you didn't see that!

So, for those that are not privy to my awesome Twitter/Facebook news :




I've started back to school :) Full-time! WTF was I thinking? Ha ha.

After a three-year hiatus, I decided I needed to do something for myself. I love being my husband's wife and my son's mother - but I wanted something that was strictly mine. Something that I'm doing for myself, rather than for anyone else around me.

I'm still trying to learn a routine in the morning for getting myself ready, breakfast made, Babe ready, lunches packed, backpacks packed and getting out the door on time. I know the key to this is making myself get out of bed before Babe wakes up, BUT I haven't mastered that yet.


So far my likes include :

1. Making flash cards. Really, I'm a nerd.
2. Lunch time in the student lounge. I love packing my lunch and looking around and judging everyone for their unhealthy, fast food crap. I feel smug knowing that I'm eating healthy and spent little money to do so.
3. Not being the oldest person in my class.

My dislikes would be :

1. Having to say goodbye to my little man. 
2. There is no bathroom in one of the buildings I'm in. I have to walk "across" campus. And by across campus I mean over to the next building.
3. My one online class, that I'm taking, has nothing posted. Not even an introduction from the instructor.

I'm still sizing up my classmates. An 18 y/o sat down next to me today and made friends. My piece of advice to her, "Don't get drunk. Stay focused and you won't hate yourself six years from now." She basically asked to my best friend after that.
